The Deluxe Junior Suite was clean and spacious, which was a plus. However, it felt a bit outdated and some room issues were noticeable, like the balcony doors feeling insecure. Air conditioning worked well, which was a relief. Not the most luxurious experience, but it served its purpose.

Fun times in the lazy river

We stayed 9 nights and the lazy river was a blast! Pool games were super fun, and my kids loved it. The snack bar was a hit—great quick bites, especially the tacos! The room was clean but had some quirks, like a balcony door that didn’t lock right.

It was just a good pick for a weekend breather in Akumal with good price value. The mini bar wasn't consistently stocked, so we had to buy drinks from the stores nearby.

We had an awesome time at the resort, enjoying the fun lazy river and the amazing variety of wildlife around. The pools were fantastic for relaxing, and the beach access was perfect for some fun in the sun. 🌴

The Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Resort & Spa All Inclusive was a delightful escape filled with lush nature. The property had various walking trails and access to beautiful beaches where snorkeling was a must-try! The pools provided an excellent balance between lively and serene, perfect for our family. We especially loved the large spa area equipped with incredible hydrotherapy pools that relaxed every part of our bodies after a day in the sun.

A few restaurant reservations were tough to secure.

We truly loved the beautiful beaches with plenty of lounge chairs. The snorkeling was amazing! The wide variety of food options available was perfect for our group, especially at the buffet.

We experienced some inconvenience when checking in, as a later arriving group was escorted to their room first.

The wildlife around the grounds provided an exciting backdrop, encountering coatis and iguanas during walks was a highlight. Access to nearby cenote Santa Cruz made for a refreshing day trip. The lazy river stood out as a fun way to relax without the noise of the main pools.

The hotel's amenities felt dated, notably with the décor in the rooms and the condition of furniture, which had visible stains and wear. Reservation challenges for dining left us disappointed, as some sought-after restaurants filled up quickly, leading us to scramble for alternatives. It also didn’t help that the air conditioning in our room had inconsistent performance throughout the night, leading to discomfort at times.

great access to beaches and cenotes for city wanderers

the resort's setting made it super easy to explore nearby cenote santa cruz, just over 4 km away, and access akumal beach, which is about a 5-minute drive, along with enjoying the beautiful grounds filled with wildlife like coatis and iguanas that added charm to our stay.

The resort offers great snorkeling opportunities, which were a hit with my kids. We enjoyed the variety of food and drinks available throughout the property, catering to everyone’s tastes. The staff were consistently cheerful and accommodating, enhancing our overall experience.

The resort was very well appointed with tons of activities! I especially enjoyed the lazy river, it was like a winding path through paradise. Seeing the turtles hatch and making their way back to the ocean was something I didn’t expect but it blew my mind, truly unforgettable.
